According to Dan Slater on the the Wall Street Journal law blog, Sarah Palin has said that the media is violating her first amendment rights by calling her attacks on Barack Obama negative campaigning. How on God’s green earth did this person, who apparently believe that the first amendment protects public figures from criticism from the press rather than the press from suppression by the government, become a candidate for high office in the United States of America?
When you go into the voting booth tomorrow, before you mark the dot, touch the screen or pull the lever, say to yourself “President Sarah Palin.” How scary is that?
