First of all, you must be a registered voter. In some states you will also have to choose either the Republican or Democratic party if you wnt to vote in primaries. I was a registered Indepedet for many years but got tired of being shooed away from the polling place on primary day. It was kind of embarrassing. Once you are registered then you go in to you polling place and select the write in space on the little touch screen thingie and type in “ROTUS” for the elected office of your choice.

Wow, I can’t believe I’ve never seen this. It reminds me of the time I saw Lynrd Skynrd (or however it is spelt) at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester, by accident. I was at gig in the Lesser Free Trade Hall and sort of sneaked in to the main hall at the interval – brilliant!
And coincidentally, that hall is now the hotel I featured in my last blog post.
